Los verbos modales may y might expresan posibilidades y tienen algunas particularidades. Recuerda que al igual que can, could, should y must, may y might no necesitan la partícula to después, solo necesitan otro verbo que sea el principal de la frase.

El verbo modal may se puede utilizar para expresar permiso:
- May I go to the bathroom? (¿Puedo ir al baño?)
- May I talk to you? (¿Puedo hablar contigo?)
También se puede utilizar para expresar posibilidades más probables de que suceda algo.
- I may go to your party. (Es probable que vaya a tu fiesta.)
- She may travel this year. (Es probable que viaje este año.)

Might
El verbo modal might se utiliza para hablar de posibilidades más inciertas.
- I might go to your party. (Tal vez vaya a tu fiesta.)
- She might travel this year. (Ella tal vez viaje este año.)

May x Might (Puede x Podría)
Hablando sobre posibilidades, el modal may (puede) se considera más formal y expresa más certeza, es decir, tiene más probabilidad de ocurrir. Por otro lado, might (podría) se considera más informal, se utiliza más en el día a día y expresa más incertidumbre, es decir, menos probabilidad de que una acción ocurra.
- I might travel this year. (Podría viajar este año.)
