En el módulo 2, estudiamos sobre el There to be en el presente. Esta estructura se utiliza para hablar sobre la existencia de algo. El There is se utiliza en singular y significa «hay/existe» y el There are se utiliza en plural y significa «hay/existen».

- There is a chair in my bedroom. (Hay una silla en mi dormitorio).
- There are three cars in the garage. (Hay tres coches en el garaje).
La estructura se construye con el verbo to be. En presente se utiliza is y are, pero en pasado se utilizan los verbos conjugados en pasado: was y were. There was se utiliza en singular y significa había/existía, mientras que There were se utiliza en plural y significa habían/existían.
